Crazed Concoctions

The southern branch of MNG Brewery has churned out two brews that should prove to be a bizzare way to kick off the holidays. Both were brewed last night by the light of the waxing moon and should be ready for imbibing just before Christmas.

Cracked Nutter Brown Ale

Merry Christmas! This holiday season, we'll be ready to hark some heralds with a twisted blend of yuletide flavors. Cracked Nutter combines the tart bite of cranberries with the smooth malts of a nut brown ale, and spices it up with nutmeg tempered by a dash of vanilla. So when the stresses of the season start sapping sanity, a sip or two of this seasonal spirit should be sufficient to soothe senses - or send them spinning.

Don't Fear the Pepper

Sure it will be too late to enjoy for Halloween, but this wicked red ale was certainly inspired by it. Take the sweet hoppy flavor of a typical American red ale, and toss in the tangy bittersweet notes of an orange bell pepper - then, just for fun, the pungent aroma of allspice. Face your fear - drink the beer.

Ready for dessert?

MNG Brewing is pleased to announce the creation of our first dessert beer. It goes by the name of Thin Mint Stout, which has a pleasant blend of creme de menthe and unsweetened bakers chocolate to make it a blissful treat after a long day at work or following a delicious meal. Release date set for just before Christmas.

In other news Punisher Porter has been bottled and remains in line for a mid-November tasting. The whiskey was evident in scent upon opening of the vat, but the priming sugar should provide the needed sweetness to balance the bite of the liquor. Spice of Life is almost done with the first stage of fermentation and will be bottled next week. Also, MNG's southern affiliate met great success with its first ever brew- Oktoberfest. Slight orange note in taste and aroma with a sweet honey finish. Great early autumn beer.

New Logo & News

MNG Brewing is unveiling its new logo. This logo captures the exuberance we here at MNG North & South have for beer and our patriotism for our homeland.

In other news, DieStruckShun was chilled and uncapped for a tasting and it comes as advertised- total chaos. The beer is complex with a variety of layers that will almost confuse your pallet. First sip is sweet, then a strong dark lager flavor sets in, and finally it finishes with an bang due to its high alcohol content. Potent and unusual, but scrumptious nonetheless. The remaining bottles aren't likely to last long.

Also, Punisher Porter is ready for bottling early next week and rumor has it a mint chocolate stout is in the works in the northern affiliate. Also running through our brewmasters' creative juices is a possible nutty vanilla cranberry brown ale getting ready in the South for the holidays. Yeah, I know, woah!!!
